4/21 - Livestream Class to Benefit Feeding America - $212 dollars raised.
Feeding America is the nation's largest domestic hunger-relief organization with 200 food banks across the United States. With school closures, job disruptions and health risks due to the coronavirus, millions of Americans will turn to food banks for much-needed support. Feeding America provides nourishing food - from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers - to our neighbors.
4/28 - Livestream Class to Benefit Partners in Health - $130 dollars raised.
Partners In Health is a Boston-based nonprofit health care organization founded in 1987 by Paul Farmer, Ophelia Dahl, Thomas J. White, Todd McCormack, and Jim Yong Kim. The organization's goals are "to bring the benefits of modern medical science to those most in need of them and to serve as an antidote to despair."
Partners in Health is hard at work during our current health crisis serving the countries and communities that are the most vulnerable. The $130 raised by this campaign is enough to provide 13 healthcare workers with PPE.
5/12 - Livestream Class to Benefit The Florence Project - $55 dollars raised
The Florence Immigrant and Refugee Rights Project is the only organization in Arizona that provides free legal and social services to detained men, women, and children under threat of deportation.
Throughout the COVID health crisis the Florence Project is continuing the fight to get detained invididuals access to healthcare, social services, and legal aid.
5/19 - Livestream Class to Benefit Doctors Without Borders- $100 dollars raised
Doctors Without Borders is an international medical humanitarian organization. They provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, epidemics, disasters, and exclusion from healthcare.
Doctors Without Borders is responding to the coronavirus emergency on multiple fronts - caring for patients, offering health education and mental health support, and providing training for infection control measures in health facilities around the world.
5/26 - Livestream Class to Benefit Heart to Heart International- $82 dollars raised
Heart to Heart International strengthens communities through improving health access, providing humanitarian development and administering crisis relief worldwide. They engage volunteers, collaborate with partners and deploy resources to achieve this mission.
Heart to Heart International has launched international, domestic and local responses to COVID-19. They are currently hard at work in the Marshall Islands, Puerto Rico, Haiti, New York City, and across the United States. They lead information campaigns, form helplines for those experiencing symptoms, deploy volunteer medical staff, and distribute hygene kits for those unable to leave their homes. HHI remains an active member of healthcare coalitions, providing gap support so that service organizations can continue to operate.
6/4 - Livestream Class to Benefit the NAACP - $490 dollars raised.
The NAACP fights to secure the policitcal, education, social, and economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and well being of all persons. The NAACP is a national leader in advocating for racial justice through their work in education, health, criminal justice and public safety, voting rights and political representation, and youth and adult egagement.
6/9 - Livestream Class to Benefit the ACLU - $45 dollars raised.
The ACLU fights to preserve and defend the civil rights of all individuals. They have participated in more Supreme Court cases than any other private organization. They fight to defend the rights of multiple groups and causes, including but not limited to immigration, LGBTQ rights, criminal justice, disability rights, free speech, juvenile rights, racial justice, womens rights, religious liberty, and smart justice. They have an extensive volunteer and outreach program and legal team.
6/16 - Livestream Class to Benefit the Transgender Law Center - $65 dollars raised.
The Transgender Law Center is the largest national trans-led organization advocating for self-determination for all people. Grounded in legal expertise and committed to racial justice, they employ a variety of community-driven strategies to keep transgender and gender nonconforming people alive, thriving, and fighhting for liberation.
6/16 - Livestream Class to Benefit the Equal Justice Initiative - $22 dollars raised.
The Equal Justice Initiative is a non-profit organization based in Montgomery, Alabama, that provides legal representation to prisoners who may have been wrongly convicted of crimes, poor prisoners without effective representation, and others who may have been denied a fair trial.
